so i finally tried out T:V and at first i was pissed about all the extra graphic crap that got it the way of me being able to tell where the bad guys were... then I got used to it and actually enjoyed a single player 1st plyr shooter that had a jet pack, then got turned into a little girl who has no idea wtf a grappler is.
wth.

i remember all the Vengeance sucks, but i don't remember all the reasons why... but some of it has to be "i spent years playing tribes and I have no use for learning some ghey new geek-know-tool."

I cheered as as my little girl character died under water over and over again as even though she whopped some A w/ the spin fusor in the "present", she only hit her prodigy head over and over on the stairs in the past.

it looks like it had potential, but since Far Cry just finished dl'ing, i'm not even sure i'm going to bother finsihing the single player.

I dunno, but 360 gaming doesn't need detailed gfx. it just gives u a headache. I almost want to load up T2 now. almost. bed sounds better.

I guess if i end up getting the hang of it, at least there's 60 other people playing it. LOL at least that's what the sierra site said was online at the time. ugh.

The single player story line makes you want to shoot yourself. The majority of the voice acting is horrible, but it accompanies the dialogue well (seeing as how it's just as bad).

As you play it though you can see the levels where they attempted to teach the player how to play tribes... A level that makes you do every single game type.

A level that makes you fight waves of bad guys salvaging drops off their bodies.

A level that makes you go through "trials" that basically involve some random aspect of a random position in a CTF game.

It was fairly frustrating.

The only levels that were half way entertaining were the mercury missions and that was only becausee I thought MAYBE I might be able to kill these fuck tards they've been forcing me to play as.

Then multiplayer... the OOB grid annoyed me, the grappler totally changed game play, and only having 3 weapons in a heavy pissed me off.

Yeah uninstall it now, reinstall T2.

The wisdom of teh Fro never ceases to amaze me. Very Happy

I haven't played nearly as many games as you guys, but for me nothing comes close to T2.

I miss playing. Crying or Very sad

Although if you want something fun...

During the mission where you're playing as Victoria after daniel kills a important character to her (trying not to ruin your story line... not that it's very in depth)...

Play The Beatles - "We can work it out" cracks me up every time. Just put it on loop.

hehe

i visited TW and was surprised to see that some are still trying to fix it on their own w/ mods and such... such being begging for people to come play. Smile saying stuff about taking vehicles out, reducing grap to 5 and weakening the rope. eh, probably will just finish the single player sometime.
The game being able to only handle 20 people max while most comp is at 7vs7 or 8vs8 is a big drawback from the 32 on 32 games in T2.

the engine choice was a big mistake it seems.

Heavies only get 3 weapons? LOL that is lame

Yeah it's kinda silly... you get your disc launcher, your mortar... and something else, sometimes it's the grappler to use like a sling shot and shoot you over the map, or a chaingun to overheat and hit nothing with, or maybe a burner, you know to light shit on fire... ooh ooh a blaster because shot guns are cool.

No matter what weapon i'm gonna bring I'm DEFINETLY bringing a shield pack, that does nothing but reduce the damage I take... oh wait maybe a speed pack so I can *walk* faster, because walking is such a key point in tribes.

yeah, one of the mods nerfed the shield pack so much that no one used it. (one poster claimed)

doubt i'll ever go online though to try it out.

is there a server that keeps track of user accounts like T2? or can you smurf as whatever name you want?

There aren't any online accounts, just cd-keys so you can change it all you want.
